There may have been bigger events in MMA this past weekend but we can confidently say that few had the big names Rico White's " The Power of Champions 2 " had last night at the Warrior Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA . Along with gym owner John Wood, the special guests list on the night included several other well known MMA fighters such as Forest Griffin, Frank Mir, Sam Stout, Amir Sadolah, Matthew Brown, Mike Whithead. Also in the house were other well known names in the MMA world such as Kim Coture, well known trainers like Shawn Tompkins Even the UFC's first ring girl, Amber Nichole.

On the outside the event looked to be a short night with little action. However those in the house bared witness to 6 exciting outs, 3 Muay Thai exhibitions and loads of raffle gifts given away between the action. Add this in the the fantastic BBQ set-up outside and this was no longer an MMA event, it was a PARTY! Las Vegas Sports Anchor Bryan Salmond kept the crowd rockin as the nights MC and former MMA Fighter Joe Slick made a new name for himself as a very good and credible referee under the ISCF banner.

Although the event took place at the Warriors Training Center, this was an ICF, International Championship Fighting, www.icfights.com event! ( which shares no affiliation to a group also called the International Fighting Championship events promoted and sanctioned by an unrespected individual named Paul Smith. ) The ICF is owned and operated by tonights promoter, Rico White ( Right ). White has a long history of promoting everything from ESPN Street Basketball, Country and Rock concerts to his work in creating his MMA Promotional name.

Although you will soon be reading a lot more about Rico White's ICF here on the ISCF News page, it's time we get to the results of tonights event!

   WINNER: Robb Anderson winner by Ground and Pound (TKO) at 1:23 of round 1.
   Matthew Carpenter has been issued a 30 day medical suspension from the referee stoppage - TKO.
   • The above Robb Anderson is not this Robert Anderson who is over 350 lbs.

   WINNER: Rich St. Claire by TKO - Ground and pound at 59 seconds of round 1.
   Presley Lint has been issued a 45 day medical suspension due to the cut on his face and injury around his eye. To fight again, he also must submit a "Clearance to fight" form to his next promoter AFTER he serves his minimum 45 day medical suspension.
   
   
5. AMATEUR MMA 122

   WINNER: Lis Braverman by unanimous decision , 29-28, 29-28 & 30-27.
   After Lis Braverman flew all the way in the day before from Georgia and Ivana Coleman, the day before from Louisiana, neither showed any jet lag. This bout was a " SLUGFEST " from the opening bell! These two ladies ROCKED for all 3 rounds and won the crowd favorite for " Bout of the night! "

   WINNER: Truett Anderson by Rear Naked choke at 1:51 of round 1.

• 3-21-09: FIGHTERS WHO NO SHOWED FOR WEIGH-INS OR BACK OUT FOR NO JUSTIFIED REASON
  1. Nick Kruger: (155) - Is OUT ! He is a Pro MMA Fighter but did not inform matchmaker he was.
  2. Michelle Gutierrez: (122) Is OUT ! She is a Pro Boxer.
  3. Jeremy Burns: (155) Contacted Friday night, said he no longer felt like fighting. Burns has been suspended 60 days by the ISCF and fined a Promoters reimbursement fee of $200.00. Suspension remains until fine is paid to Promoter.
  4. Julie Roseberry: (150) Airline ticket was paid for by her opponent's ( Lizzy Miller ) Sponsor since Roseberry challenged her publicly. Roseberry simply choose to not come at the last minute. Roseberry has been suspended indefinitely by the ISCF and fined a Promoters Reimbursement fee of $3,000.00. Part of this fine is due to the person who bought Roseberry and her trainers plane ticket and part to Lizzy Miller for her plane ticket(s). Suspension remains until fine is paid in full.
  5. Brian Lopez: (245) Was booked and simply did not show up at weigh-ins. Lopez has been suspended 60 days by the ISCF and fined a Promoters Reimbursement fee of $150.00. Suspension remains until fine is paid to Promoter.

  • Justin Sims (170) Was booked and planning to be here. However, at the airport, TSA Would not let him on his plane due to tears in his Drivers License ID.
